Solare Collegiate Charter School has demonstrated a commitment to providing exceptional education to its students. As the school community has grown, so has the need for additional space. Solare sought the expertise of SCOUT to design a second classroom building that would not only meet their growth needs, but also unify the campus. The result is a seamless integration of the new building with the existing one, creating a harmonious campus environment for students to thrive.

Master Planning

Solare’s 2nd ground up classroom building was thoughtfully designed to maximize learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. Its compact footprint is sited to tie in with the existing classroom building, site features and infrastructure. Solare’s main entrance and welcoming “front porch” offer a view through the building to the protected outdoor space designed for gathering and play.

Growth and Learning

The building includes 10 natural light filled classrooms, flexible learning spaces, administrative areas, and a warming kitchen complete with a walk-up serving window. The overall design and campus feel fosters a sense of pride, emphasizing academic excellence and growth.
